Oil painting or oilism is a relatively new art style popularized by the Russian artist Vitaly Kasatkin. The artist uses oil from different regions: it has different consistency, color and lays down differently.
Oil is a natural material, paintings are durable and do not crack. At the same time, they are just as fire hazardous as any other paintings, and the characteristic smell quickly disappears.
Almost any smooth surface is suitable as a canvas for oil painting: plywood, glass, cardboard, etc.
There is a demand for unusual paintings not only in Russia,
but also abroad.
To create his paintings and design them, the artist uses not only oil, but also oil waste, including bitumen and gas condensate.
Oil from the fields of KhaoAsh, Komi Republic, Akhalin, Iran, Azerbaijan, America, Venezuela. In the artist’s pallette there are more than 50 varieties of “black gold” and more than 200, if you mix “black oil” with gas condensate.
