Artyushenko Vladimir Nikolaevich, was born on August 30, 1949 in the city of Lugansk (Ukraine). His father was a railway worker, his mother was a housewife, he had a younger brother, Yuri. Barefoot childhood was spent in the mining region in Donetsk. From early childhood he already painted. He combined his years of study at a secondary school with studies at a children’s art school in the city of Lugansk. At this time he participated in regional, republican and international exhibitions of children’s drawings (America, New Zealand).
After graduating from school, he entered the Lugansk State Art School in 1967 at the Faculty of Painting and Education.
In 1973 he graduated and received the specialty of a teacher of drawing. For two years he taught at secondary school No. 3 in the city of Perevalsk, Luhansk region as a drawing teacher.
In 1975 he moved to the city of Kharkov and there, working as a driller at the Kharkov bicycle factory, he tried to enter the institute. Time passed in hard work, in the social work of the plant and in preparation for entering the institute. There were many personal exhibitions at the bicycle factory and in other enterprises in the city of Kharkov.
In 1978, Vladimir Nikolayevich entered the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute, the graphic faculty, and lived in the dormitory of the institute. During his studies, he was engaged in social and scientific activities, took an active part in amateur performances, exhibition activities in the city of Kharkov and abroad.
In 2008 he became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. His paintings are still exhibited in our country and abroad. In 2009, his personal exhibition was opened in the central gallery of the city of Mytishchi, at which about 200 works were presented. This is the result of his amazing performance. Wherever he is, wherever he rests, be it Feodosia, Sochi, Novy Svet and many other cities of Russia and Ukraine, from everywhere he brings a large number of sketches painted in oil, watercolors and gouache.
